Jones Waldo Adds Seven New Attorneys to Strengthen Statewide Presence

Jones Waldo, one of Utah’s most prestigious and pioneering law firms, has added two shareholders to the Park City office and one to the Salt Lake City office. One associate has been added to the St. George office and three associates join the Salt Lake City team.

The law firm’s Salt Lake office adds attorneys John C. Rooker, Richard G. Sorenson, Jason M. Yancey and Tiffany Brown, to its roster. The Park City office adds attorneys Eric P. Lee and Robert C. Dillon, while the St. George office adds attorney Stephanie Charter.

“All of these attorneys have the depth and breadth of experience that our firm is known for,” said Keven Rowe, President of Jones Waldo. “This new talent will allow us to expand service to our existing clients, create new opportunities and maintain the highest level of service.”

Salt Lake Office

John C. Rooker’s litigation practice focuses on construction and real estate development disputes. He has represented individuals and corporations as defendants and plaintiffs in a wide range of business, commercial, and contract disputes in federal and state courts. Mr. Rooker has counseled startups and has negotiated and documented numerous asset purchases, stock purchases and other business acquisition transactions. He received his law degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University.

Tiffany Brown practices in the firm’s domestic and family law practice group. Previously, she worked at a Utah-based law firm, as a prosecutor at the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s office, an Assistant Attorney General in the Child Protection Division and as an attorney in the Utah State Court Office of the Guardian ad Litem. Ms. Brown Received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. 

Richard G. Sorenson’s practice consists primarily of commercial litigation, with an emphasis in construction disputes, real estate and contract law. He graduated with honors from S.J. Quinney College of Law, University of Utah.

Jason M. Yancey’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in the areas of construction, land development, real estate and contracts. He graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, where he received the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence in Bankruptcy and developed a specialty in business reorganization.

Park City Office

Robert C. Dillon focuses his practice on complex real estate transactions. He has more than 35 years experience in commercial real estate and has represented a variety of national and international clients. He is currently involved in several major real estate transactions in Wasatch and Summit Counties.

Mr. Dillon received his law degree from Emory University School of Law. “I am pleased to be part of this strong Park City law firm,” said Dillon. “Not only can I offer a perspective built on years of experience in the Park City area, but my clients will also benefit from the full-service support of an 85-lawyer firm.”

Eric P. Lee brings over 20 years of legal experience to the firm. He provides both affirmative and defensive litigation services to a variety of clients in business, construction and real estate, among other fields. His practice also includes zoning, planning, land use and entitlement work. Mr. Lee received his law degree from S.J. Quinney College of Law, University of Utah, and currently serves as a Director of the Park City Bar Association and a member of the Board of Trustees for Utah Open Lands.

St. George Office

Stephanie Charter joins the St. George office. She focuses her family law practice on adoption, termination of parental rights, custody and divorce. She has extensive experience representing children and child victims of abuse and neglect in the child welfare system. Ms. Charter received her law degree from Creighton University School of Law.
