The Southern Utah Home Builders Association Give Back this Holiday Season

Members of the Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) donated 321 pounds of canned food and $591 to Dixie Care and Share during their annual Christmas Banquet held in December.

Michael Madsen, SUHBA President said, “We are always pleased with the response we have from our members at SUHBA.  The Food Bank in our area does an excellent job and it requires contributions from all of us to keep it going.  There are many that are struggling and it is efforts like those displayed at our SUHBA banquet, combined with many others that stage events to collect food that truly help those in need.  I would just say ‘thank you’ to those that contribute.”

SUHBA members also created beautiful gingerbread houses for the Parade of Gingerbread Homes Auction, sponsored by America First Credit Union, to raise money for Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah. The houses were very original and much time and effort was put in. Several SUHBA members purchased the houses and raised $580 for Habitat for Humanity.

SUHBA members care about their community and strive to reach out to help those in need.  There are many this year suffering and we encourage people to donate to these worthy causes.
