SouthWest Federal Credit Union Building a Food Pyramid
SouthWest Federal Credit Union is putting a new twist on the traditional "Food Pyramid." They'll be collecting non-perishable food items in their 6 branches during the month of October, using them to build a giant pyramid in their St. George - Tabernacle branch. Those who donate a case of food will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card.
"The food banks are running so low these days, we thought this would be a good project for us again," said Marion Panganiban, Mesquite Branch Manager and Chairman of SouthWest Federal's Community Service Committee. “The pyramid will give people a clear picture of our progress.”
Last fall, a Credit Union food drive netted more than 200 pounds of food donated to Dixie Care and Share.
“We hope to smash last year’s record,” said Panganiban, “so we can help that many more families who are in need this year.”
