4th Annual Southern Utah Building Industry Conference "Sharpen Your Skills"

Southern Utah Home Builders Association in partnership with Dixie Applied Technology College presents the 4th Annual Southern Utah Building Industry Conference.

Attorney General Mark Shurtleff will be the featured Keynote Speaker at the 4th Annual Southern Utah Building Industry Conference (SUBIC) sponsored by Host Business Services and Wingate by Wyndham. This conference is open to the public and will be held at the Dixie Center in St. George on September 11, 2009 from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm in conjunction with the Ultimate Home Expo. This year’s theme is “Learning Strategies to Survive Today Means Thriving Tomorrow” and reflects the commitment to present the very best in education during a challenging time when everyone in the construction industry must be at their professional best.

11 Seminars
To fulfill that commitment, SUBIC offers 11 courses that cover the gamut of construction including green building, marketing, mechanic’s liens, construction law, jobsite safety, soil and code issues, builder financing, and more.

Continuing Education
Utah contractors can complete all 6 required continuing education requirements in one day! Real Estate agents, Mortgage, and Title professionals may complete CEs as well.

SUHBA Scholarships
SUHBA members may receive a $50 scholarship reimbursement provided by the SUHBA Scholarship Fund. (Limited to the first 50 SUHBA companies registered.)

Pre-Conference Sessions
Now is the time to set yourself apart from the competition by earning your Certified Graduate Builder or Certified Graduate Remodeler designation. Take either the Builder Assessment Review (BAR) in the morning or the Professional Remodeler Experience Profile (PREP) in the afternoon to determine which courses you need to obtain a designation. Pre-conference sessions will be held on Thursday, September 10th, at Host Business Services.
