Your Mission... A Smooth Running Transmission
By Rick & Teressa Miller Preventive Maintenance Experts St. George, UT
Transmission failure can be costly. A preventive maintenance inspection, according to vehicle manufacturer specifications, gives your preventive maintenance professional the ability to spot potential problems.
Transmissions maintain proper wheel rotation and manage engine power. Replacing lubricating fluids within the system, according to manufacturer’s specifications, extends transmission life by resisting oxidation and sludge formation.
During a transmission service your preventive maintenance professional should check for leaks and/or damage and replace the old fluid. In automatic transmissions the specialist should also replace the old transmission filter, clean the transmission pan and replace the gasket.
Regular transmission services help prevent wear, promote smoother shifting and reduce chance of engine failure caused by overheating.
