Jones Waldo Law Firm Holds Election for Board of Directors, Adds Three Shareholders to the Firm
Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough PC, one of Utah’s largest and oldest law firms, announces that three attorneys have been elected shareholder: Troy J. Aramburu, Brett Ekins and Jacob Redd.
The firm is also pleased to announce the election of Lori Nelson to the firm’s board of directors. “We congratulate our new shareholders on their accomplishments,” said Keven Rowe president of Jones Waldo. “These 4 extraordinary individuals have worked hard and are excellent representatives of the high-standards of service and quality legal work our firm strives to achieve.”
Aramburu practices in Jones Waldo’s Business Law Department, specializing in bankruptcy and business litigation. He was named to the 2008 Utah Business magazine list of Legal Elite for his work in the bankruptcy field.
Ekins, who practices in the St. George office of Jones Waldo, represents clients in intellectual property matters and commercial litigation throughout Utah, Nevada and California in state and federal courts.
Redd, a member of the firm’s Corporate and Real Estate practice Departments, works primarily in the areas of business organization and structuring, securities and mergers and acquisition. Additionally, Redd has specific expertise in the area of regulatory issues regarding communications technology and has represented some of the largest communications companies in the country. He was named to the 2009 Utah Business magazine list of Legal Elite for his work in mergers and acquisitions.“Lori brings strong leadership skills to the board,” said Keven Rowe. “We feel that her energy and passion in combination with her perspectives and insight will complement our already-deep board roster and improve our decision-making abilities.”
Nelson, who focuses her practice in the area of domestic law, replaces Jones Waldo attorney Rick Knuth, who steps down after three terms. Nelson currently serves as a bar commissioner for the Utah State Bar for the Third Division. She is also the co-chair of the Utah State Bar Governmental Relations committee and the legislative liaison for the Family Law Section.
