Milestone Member

This year, the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce is reinstating a tradition - The Milestone Member Recognition Award. This award goes to those outstanding Chamber members that have been a 'member in good standing' for 10 or more years. This week, at the Chamber luncheon, we are recognizing Deseret Labratories, Inc.

Nestled amidst the breath-taking red cliffs of St. George, Utah, Deseret Laboratories thrives within Utah's fastest growing community. Its location has helped make St. George the political and economic center of southern Utah. Within this economic haven, the company was founded under the name of Standard Gypsum Products, Inc., in 1983. By 1991, through responding to the varied requests from its customers, the company blossomed into a full scale provider of: research and development, quality granulation, tableting, encapsulation, coating and packaging services. At that point, the company's operations became known as Deseret Laboratories, Inc. This change was followed shortly thereafter by the construction of Phase I of DLI's new state-of-the-art production facility. With the latest of multiple additions, DLI provides approximately 120,000 square feet from which to deliver agglomeration, instatization, blending, tableting, hard shell encapsulation, coating and packaging to its valued customers. The Milestone Member Recognition Award will be awarded to 45 businesses throughout 2009 that have shown excellence not only in Customer Service, but have also been active in the Chamber of Commerce and the community. These 45 members will each be recognized at a Chamber luncheon.
