This year, the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce is reinstating a tradition - The Milestone Member Recognition Award. This award goes to those outstanding Chamber members that have been a 'member in good standing' for 10 or more years. This week, at the Chamber luncheon, we are recognizing the Law Offices of Dabney & Dabney.
Dabney & Dabney is a professional corporation under the laws of Utah consisting of two licensed attorneys, Mr. Virginius Dabney and Mrs. Barbara Anne Dabney who also are married to each other. They have been practicing attorneys since 1973 and 1974, respectively, and currently reside in Southern Utah with offices in St. George, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Dabney limit their practice to Social Security, workers compensation and related personal injury disability law. The general type of claims that they handle are of a serious, work-terminating and sometimes life-threatening nature. Psychiatric care commonly accompanies such claims because of pain, anxiety and depression associated with traumatic injuries. Mr. Dabney specializes in Social Security law and litigation and is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives, the Utah Trial Lawyers Association and the Utah State Bar.
Mrs. Dabney also specializes in Social Security law, was previously a Staff Attorney with the Office of Hearings and Appeals of the Social Security Administration in Salt Lake City, Utah for approximately three years, and is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives and the Utah State Bar. Dabney & Dabney have been Chamber Members since 1995.
The Milestone Member Recognition Award will be awarded to 45 businesses throughout 2009 that have shown excellence not only in Customer Service, but have also been active in the Chamber of Commerce and the community.
