"Doing what matters most for business."
CHAMBER BRIEFS

Message From The President

Increased use of some Chamber services is great news, and we appreciate that more businesses are finding value in their membership.

Because of this increased use, we are placing additional guidelines in two areas so that we maintain the value of the Chamber products to all our members.

Years ago the Chamber instituted a practice at its luncheons of offering a “member table” where members could place flyers or handouts that lunch attendees could access. This practice was augmented by some groups that directly handed out materials at the door of the luncheon. The increase in “hand outs” has been so dramatic that it is diminishing the impact that our sponsors pay for. Those attending the luncheon are hit by a deluge of handouts and the sponsor handout is often buried. At some venues, the gauntlet of handouts has delayed attendees trying to access the event to the point that our meetings have had to start late.

We ask that those wishing to hand out things revert to use if the member table for distribution of information items and handouts. Please do not hand out materials at the doors.

Finally, this newsletter you’re reading has become so popular that it’s become long, and often cumbersome to get through due to the massive amount of information we are publishing. We encourage you to continue to send us your news items, but we will start limiting the length of time that the article will appear in subsequent weekly editions. If we don’t keep it readable and fresh and new, we will lose our readers and that hurts the chances that your message will hit your target.  For more information regarding the newsletter, please contact Karyn at 435-628-1650 ext. 4 or email her at karyn@stgeorgechamber.com.
