Health System Reform Summit Wednesday December 3rd from 5:00 to 6:30 pm Room B, St. George Library (88 West 100 South)
Why? Because health care is the key to economic security and opportunity. Against this background, the Utah Health Policy Project invites you for an educational evening about Utah’s health system reforms. This summit is a wonderful opportunity to engage with legislators and other local stakeholders about where we are today and possibilities for the upcoming 2009 General Legislative Session. To set the stage for a productive dialogue, our team will present useful information on: the idiosyncrasies of Utah’s private health insurance market and recommendations for stabilizing the private market; the role of public programs, such as the Utah Premium Partnership (UPP), Medicaid and CHIP in reform; where Utah stands in the reform process. The remaining time will be devoted to informal dialogue with you and local stakeholders about our concerns and hopes for the future of health care in Utah. We hope you will be able to join us! To RSVP or for more information, please contact Jessica Kendrick at Jessica@healthpolicyproject.org or 801-433-2299. The Utah Health Policy Project, the state’s leading research and health care policy resource, is dedicated to finding meaningful solutions to the crisis of the uninsured and rising health care costs. UHPP is committed to financially sustainable solutions that maximize the role of the private market. For more information, visit our website.
