Small Business Background Motivates New Employee
Brittney Fairbourn, a recent graduate of Brigham Young University with a Masters in Tax Accountancy, has joined the staff of HintonBurdick CPAs & Advisors Business Services partner Phillip Peine announced today. She will work out of the firm’s St. George office and, according to Peine, brings a strong small business focus to the firm. “Not only did she grow up with a father who owned a small business,” Peine said, “but her resume also includes four years of experience doing small business accounting for companies in Orem and Provo.” Fairbourn also earned her B.S. in Accountancy from BYU and expects to receive her CPA license by fall of 2009. She stated that her decision to accept a position with HintonBurdick was motivated by the opportunity to work for a firm that believes small businesses deserve the high quality accounting services and attention to detail as larger companies. “All small business owners can benefit from talking with an accounting professional about keeping accounting records and about tax strategies,” she stated. “The more you know about the financial aspects of your business, the more successful you’ll be.” Fairbourn and her husband, Ken, also welcomed the opportunity to move to St. George. “We love the people, the scenery, and the weather here,” she said. HintonBurdick CPAs & Advisors is a full service CPA and accounting firm with offices in St. George, Cedar City, Hurricane, and Richfield, Utah, and in Mesquite, Nevada. They have been in business for more than 30 years and service clients in 47 states and some foreign countries.
