Dixie Celebrates Centennial Celebration Gala Events!

As part of October's Cultural Arts Month, DSC will be hosting three Centennial Celebration Gala events the weekend of Oct. 24-25. On Friday, Oct. 24, DSC will be present a Gala Ball at 8 p.m., at the St. George Community Arts Center at 86 South Main (original Dixie Academy Building). The Gala Ball, a semi-formal dress event, will feature live big band music, dancing and refreshments. Cost is $25 and tickets are available at the door, or to RSVP, contact Susan Taysom at 652-7905.

DSC will also host a Gala Dinner Fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m., at the Gardner Center Ballroom. The cost is $150 per couple or $75 a person, while additional donations will be welcome. This semi-formal dress event will feature great food and world-class entertainment, with proceeds going to benefit the NEW DSC Centennial Commons Building. Pre-paid tickets are required by RSVP by Oct. 18. Contact Susan Taysom at 652-7905 for ticket information.

Following the Dinner at 7 p.m., DSC will host its Centennial Gala Concert in the Burns Arena, featuring over 1,200 musicians and artists, including symphony orchestra and band performances, theatre and dance performances, and a 500-voice combined community and college choir. The Gala Concert is free to the entire community to attend.
