Renown St. George Attorney Debunks Estate Planning Myths for Members of Local Credit Union

On October 8, estate and legacy wealth planning expert Randall J Holmgren, attorney with the St. George law firm, Jones Waldo, speaks to members of the SouthWest Federal Credit Union on “Estate Planning Myths: Why Estate Plans Fail and What to Do About It.”

Holmgren’s presentation will cover the best (and newest) methods for designing wills, trusts, power of attorney, medical directives and estate tax and asset protection planning.

According to Holmgren, “You don’t have to have millions or even thousands of dollars in the bank for thorough estate planning to be a smart choice for your family.  If your family does not have an effective plan in place, state law becomes the default plan – often at great expense, both financially and emotionally.”

Further, Holmgren observes, “In recent years ‘bare bones’ wills and trusts have failed the objectives of Utah’s families. I have created this presentation to educate the community on how to preserve a legacy and not just hope that ‘bare bones’ documents will do the job.”'

Holmgren has helped hundreds of local families preserve and pass on their hard-earned wealth through wise estate planning decisions.  He is a noted speaker on estate planning and regularly speaks to community and non-profit organizations. A licensed attorney for 25 years and a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, Holmgren has devoted his law practice to helping individual and families with estate and legacy wealth planning. Audiences statewide have enjoyed his informative, entertaining and easy-to-understand seminars.
