Women's Council of Realtors® Helping Real Estate Women and The Dove Center

Once again the St. George Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors® gives back to the community with their second fund raising event of the year; “Hot August Nights Sock Hop and Classic Car Show" held recently at the Elks Lodge. The organization’s co-chairs Kathy Vause and Linda Mattson would like to thank their awesome committee and all that attended, sponsored and generously donated their time and talent.

A special thanks to Dillard’s Manager, Tim Bertie for his generous donation of gift cards for the grand prize drawing. Many, many thanks to the Elks Lodge Event Manager, Barbara Stringham and her crew for their tireless efforts in helping make this event such a huge success. Over 140 guests enthusiastically participated in the 50-60’s theme dance contests, and toured an array of classic cars. DJ Paul Jones and Emcee Robynne Burgess of Star98FM kept
the dancers rocking and the energy flowing.

A portion of the funds raised benefited the DOVE CENTER, an organization that provides temporary shelter and assistance to women and children facing domestic violence. Donations and sponsorships were generously provided by: Dillards, St. George Musical Theater, OC Tanner Theater, Scaldoni’s, Gun Barrel Restaurant, River Walk Grill and Sun River, Boulevard Home Furnishings, Entrada Golf Course, Sand Hollow Resort, Amara MedSpa, Red Mountain Spa, Keller Williams Realty, Zion’s Harley Davidson, Elan Woman Magazine, Best Western Hotel, 2 Fat Guys Pizza, Zion Cycles, Zion Pizza & Noodle Company, The Key Man, Fabulous Freddie’s Car Wash, St George Car Wash, Diamond Talent Productions, Huntsman World Senior Games, and the Dove Center.

The St. George Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® is sincerely grateful to all of their sponsors, including those that we may have missed mentioning. As business professionals, WCR continues to effect positive change in the real estate profession and the community. For membership information contact WCR President, Debbie Ashwood at 229-6949.
