You do not want to miss your chance to attend the 3rd Annual Southern Utah Building Industry Conference (SUBIC) presented by Southern Utah Home Builders Association and Dixie Applied Technology College. This one-day conference is open to the public and will be held at the Dixie Center in St. George on September 19, 2008 from 7:00am – 5:00pm in conjunction with the Ultimate Home Expo.
This year’s theme is “Sharpen Your Skills: Survival Training for Professionals” and reflects the commitment to present the very best in education during a challenging time when everyone in the construction industry must be at their professional best.
13 Seminars
To fulfill that commitment, SUBIC offers 13 courses that cover the gamut of construction including green building, marketing, short sales, lien laws, construction law, jobsite safety, and more. The morning general session topic is “Fraud: Buy One Get One Free”. Doug LeDoux, Fraud Investigator for Utah Insurance Department, will present reports on trends, what the mortgage fraud statute says, foreclosure scams, a Utah case study, and information on current national cases.
