Road construction can be a difficult challenge for businesses of all types. The same road that brings consumers to a business eventually needs repair and those improvements can mean a loss of business traffic.
Two committees of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce have taken note of an important resource that many businesses should be aware of when it comes to planning for and preparing for the potential of disruption to traffic routes bringing customers to businesses.
The City of St. George hosts a Traffic and Transportation Information Exchange on its web-site. Part of that information exchange is a significant list of capital projects underway, and in the study or planning stages. This information is available at: www.sgcity.org/traffic/capitalprojects.php.
The information about these projects can be very helpful when you’re determining your business plan for weeks, months, or even a year or more into the future. In addition, the Chamber will be periodically posting information in this newsletter provided by UDOT and other entities regarding projects that could have impact to business.
